Akasa Air - India’s CHEAPESt And Youngest Airline Commences Operations

Akasa Air, has finally taken off on AUG 7. Its maiden flight QP1101 departed from Mumbai to Ahmedabad.

Billionaire INVESTOR RAKESH JHUNJHUNWALA, FOUNDER OF AKASA AIR, WAS ALSO ON BOARD THE FLIGHT.

THE INAUGURAL FLIGHT WAS CLEARED BY CIVIL AVIATION MINISTER JYOTIRADITYA M SCINDIA AND MOS GENERAL VIJAY KUMAR SINGH.

The airline has announced five routes between Mumbai, Ahmedabad, Kochi, Bengaluru, and Later on Chennai.

the Mumbai-Ahmedabad flights will operate 26 times a week, while the Bengaluru-Kochi and Bengaluru-Mumbai flights will operate 28 times per week.

Beyond the smart aesthetics, the AKASA AIR CREW uniform is also eco-friendly. The recycled polyester fabric is crafted from PET bottle plastic salvaged from marine waste.

With a fleet induction strategy of two Boeing 737 MAX aircraft per month, the airline focuses on metro to tier 2 & 3 route connections.

The fleet size will be raised to 18 aircraft by the end of March 2023 and over the next four years, the airline will add 54 aircraft, taking its total fleet size to 72.
